The Basic kit is what you need to get started with the conversion.
It incorporates everything that should be needed to convert a Type IV engine to
upright cooling.
Many owners of VWs already have a spare Type I engine or two laying around. Due to this, we do not include the Type I fan assembly in the Basic kit, as many customers already have it. If you need the Type I cooling components to go along with your shroud, we also have a kit for you.
The Basic kit is all that is needed to install a Type IV into an open engine sandrail, buggy, Spyder replica, etc. All full bodied vehicles will also need the Stage II/ III kits for the sealing of the engine bay, like a factory installation.
