While I haven't had a RAT engine built myself, I've driven or ridden in a great variety of Raby-built vehicles, from a bone-stock 1500cc single port in a Karmann Ghia to the 2332 he built for the Bluebonic Plague, to one of the first few MASSIVE TYPE 4s, the 2613 that was also debuted in the Plague. During this time, I've always been impressed with many things about Jake and his engines. One, he will always give it to you straight what he thinks, whether in regards to parts you're considering, engine combinations, or methods of doing things. Anyone who knows Jake will tell you this, and are also likely to tell you that they've benefited from his experience - Jake is always willing to help with an engine problem, whether he's building it or you are.

Jake's integrity is also incomparable, a rare thing with people in any business. He very simply does what he says he's going to do, and if for some reason things go wrong, he makes them right, often at his own expense.

I've purchased a good amount of parts from Jake, and he's also helped me at various times with machine work. I always find that I get a good value for my money, simply from the peace of mind I get from doing business with someone I know I can trust.
