I wanted to take a few moments to offer my support for your customer forum. As you know when I started my Spyder project, I did not know the diference between a Type one and a Type four motor. My main issue was warranty, dependability and support. As you know the standard turn key Vintage Spyder comes with a CB Performance motor. They make a good product, but living in Georgia, the thought of removing my motor and shipping it back to CA for warranty work was unappealing. I was releived to find out, through internet sites dedicated to air cooled motors and Spyders, that you made a good motor and were located in Georgia. I can honestly say that from our first phone call I was happy to be speaking with both the owner and the builder of my engine. You educated me and provided a good fit of motor to my driving requirements. Every call and question was answered accurately in a timely fashon. The build and delivery was right on schedule and the quality was first class. In fact, your engine sat on Greg's floor for five months, was installed and fired up on the third try!

I also appreciate you traveling down to Savannah for the first tune up and teaching me how to maintain the engine, including adjusting the carbs and valves.

AS far as perfprmance, I have put over 6000 miles on the car since March of 2002 and can say over 1000 miles are hard, race track miles. I drove your motor hard, kept it on the red line but always sem to find a little more power when needed. I'v put over 2000 highway miles on the car and spent a weekend in the mountians giving the car a good thrash. The motor still runs strong and cool, the valves stay put and she feels more powerful.

I brag on your 12,000 mile 12 month warranty but don't think I'll have to use it. Please use me as a reference as I am very happy with your product and the support provided. I can't wait till we hit 12,000 miles as I'm going to send it back to you and let you install a turbo!
